About Us

JOHN MANOUGIAN, PRESIDENT. John founded the Agency in 1970, and came in on the ground floor of the condominium concept in the late 1970s. Recognized as an industry leader, John has written policy language, and over the years has educated insurance carriers about the special coverage needs of community associations.  John is the 1999 past president of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of Community Associations Institute (WMCCAI, www.caidc.org), is a past member of the CAI Research Foundation, and continues to speak at the local level, as well as at various CAI national conferences educating property managers, board members, unit owners, and other industry professionals about coverage forms and issues that affect community associations. John is the recipient of many CAI service awards, and has written numerous insurance-related articles for a variety of publications. John is frequently asked to consult with developers and community associations, as well as provide testimony as a professional witness in claims cases. John holds a B.A. degree in criminology from the University of Maryland at College Park.

CHRIS MANOUGIAN, AGENT. Chris joined the Agency in May 1990 after earning a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Maryland at College Park. Chris served seven years as a member of the Maryland Legislative Action Committee, and is a past winner of the Washington Chapter of CAI's Rising Star Award. Chris works closely with boards of directors, property managers, and developers in marketing existing business, and in writing new business for established and in-development communities.

ROBIN MANOUGIAN, AGENT/CIRMS. Robin joined the Agency in July 1994 following positions as a copy editor at Entrepreneur^® magazine, and Editor of Orange Coast magazine, both in Southern California. A past winner of the WMCCAI Rising Star Award, and a recipient of the Chapter Appreciation Award in 2003 and 2005, Robin previously held positions on the WMCCAI Publications Committee, which produces Quorum^TM magazine for members of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of CAI, and as a CAI committee chair.  She also is a frequent contributing author to Quorum^TM magazine. Robin earned her CIRMS (Certified Insurance Risk Management Specialist) designation in May 2006. Robin works closely with boards of directors and property managers in servicing and marketing existing business, as well as in writing new business for established and in-development communities. Robin is a 1987 graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park and holds a B.S. degree in magazine journalism.

ROSSLYN LOPEZ, BUSINESS/CLAIMS/ACCOUNTING MANAGER. Rosslyn joined the Agency in 1995, and oversees the accounts payable and receivable operations, the Agency's accounting systems, manages claims administration, and assists with office management functions. Rosslyn also serves as the Agency's service liaison between our customers and our insurance carriers, and is the main service contact between our loss adjusters, carrier claims representatives, and our clients.
